பொங்கல் வரிசை poṅgalvarisai, பெ. (n.)

   1. திருமணம் முடித்த பெண்களுக்குப் பெற்றோர் பொங்கல் விழாவையொட்டிச் செய்யும் சீர் வரிசை; present sent to a married woman by her parents on pongal day.

   2. பெரியோர்க்குப் பொங்கல் நாளில் செய்யும் பரிசு; present sent to a superior on pongal day.
