 புசிப்புத்துறவு pusipputtuṟavu, பெ, (n.)

   ஒருபோது உணவு கிடைக்காதபோதும் உடல் நில்லாதென்றும் எத்தனை நாள் எத்தனை வகையிலே உண்டாலும் பொந்திகை (திருப்தி); யுண்டாகாது என்றும் கருதுவதனால் தோன்றும் துறவு; the idea of renunciation occurring on a consideration of the necessity of food and the constant carrying of the body for food.
