பழைய கருமாந்தரம் paḻaiyagarumāndaram, பெ. (n.)

பண்டைக் காலத்தில் கொண்டையங் கோட்டை மறவருள் காலமல்லாக் காலத்தில் இறந்தவனுடைய மண்டையோட்டைப் புதை குழியினின்று எடுத்து, கூத்து முதலிய வற்றுடன் அவன் பொருட்டுச் செய்யும் சாச் சடங்கு; an ancient funeral ceremony among {kondayńkóttai maravar} in which the skull of a person who died an unnatural death is exhumed and certain rites are performed with dancing etc.
