நேர்பிடி

நேர்பிடி1 nērpiḍittal,    4 செ.குன்றாவி. (v.t.)

   1. நேர்வழி செலுத்துதல்; to lead through a straight course.

   2. முடிவுக்குக் கொண்டுவருதல்; to bring to a successful issue, as an untoward business.

   3. சரிபடுத்துதல்; to mend, rectify, to adjust to accomplish properly.

   4. அமைதிப்படுத்துதல்; to reconcile;

 to bring to an agreement, as contending parties.

     [நேர் + பிடி-த்தல். பிடித்தல் = வயப் படுத்துதல், அகப்படுத்துதல், மேற்கொள் ளுதல்.]

 நேர்பிடி2 nērpiḍittal,    4 செ.கு.வி. (v.i.)

   1. நலமாதல் (சுகமாதல்);; to be cured, as a disease.

உடம்பு நோயிலிருந்து நேர்பிடிக்க நாளாகும்.

   2. சாதல்; to terminate by death.
